A Judge Declines the Justice Department's Bid to Toss Steve Bannon's Contempt Conviction

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols blocked the Justice Department’s attempt to erase Steve Bannon’s contempt of Congress conviction. The judge said the department did not offer the support required to justify dismissing the case. Nichols was appointed by President Trump.
