Searchers Discover Long-Lost Steamship in Lake Michigan After 60-Year Hunt

Shipwreck hunter Paul Ehorn discovered the wreck of the Lac La Belle passenger steamer, one of the most sought-after missing ships in Lake Michigan, after searching for nearly 60 years. The vessel, which sank over 150 years ago, was found approximately 20 miles offshore between Racine and Kenosha, Wisconsin. Shipwreck World announced the significant discovery on Friday, marking the end of one of the longest shipwreck searches in Great Lakes history.
