About NewsWarden
News through a biblical lens
Keeping up with the news is exhausting. You either stick with one source and get a slanted picture, or you spend hours bouncing between sites trying to piece together what actually happened. Most people don't have the time for that. NewsWarden does the work for you. We pull from dozens of sources across the entire news landscape, organize it all in one clean place, and layer on a biblical perspective where it fits naturally.
Everyone has a bias. Every outlet, every reporter, every headline. That's not going to change. But you can see the full picture if someone puts it all in front of you. That's what we do. We gather stories from right, left, center, and faith-based sources so you can read, compare, and think for yourself. No spin from us. No paywalls. No algorithms chasing your attention. Just the news, the whole news, and a community that decides what matters most.
How It Works
The Vote System
Every story has a flame icon. Tap it to vote. The more votes a story gets, the hotter the flame burns. Stories with the most community support rise from the Feed to the Front Page. You get one vote per story, and every single one counts.
The Front Page shows the top 5 stories in each category, chosen by a combination of editorial curation and community votes. The Feed is where everything else lives, sorted by votes or recency. Your call.
Major Story Indicator
When you see a headline with a gold underline, it means multiple news outlets are covering the same story. The more outlets reporting on it, the bigger the story. We automatically track coverage across all our sources so you can see at a glance which stories are making waves everywhere, not just in one corner of the media.
Source Perspective Dots
Next to every source name you'll see a small colored dot. This tells you the general editorial leaning of that outlet. Not the truth of the story, just where it's coming from. We show you all sides so you can think for yourself.
Using the Feed
The Full Feed is your deep dive. Every story we've published lives here. You can filter by category (Nations, Culture, Technology, or People) and sort by newest or most voted. Use the tag pills to drill into specific topics.
Think of the Front Page as the highlights and the Feed as the full archive. Between the two, you won't miss a thing.
Synopses Mode
Sometimes headlines aren't enough but you don't want to open every single story. That's what Synopses mode is for. Toggle it on in the sidebar and every story shows a short summary right below the headline. It's the fastest way to scan the news and get the gist without clicking into anything.
When you just want to browse and get a feel for what's going on, flip it on. When you want the clean, headline-only look, flip it off. Your preference sticks between visits.
Light and Dark Mode
Reading at night or just prefer a darker look? Use the theme toggle in the sidebar to switch between light and dark mode. Both are designed to be easy on the eyes and keep the reading experience comfortable no matter when you visit.
Always Fresh
We keep things moving. The Front Page rotates regularly so you always see what's happening right now, not what happened last week. Stories that have been on the front for too long get cycled back into the Feed to make room for new developments.
Stories in the Feed stay for 30 days. After that, they get archived. This keeps the site focused on current news so every time you visit, there's something new worth reading.
Help Us Build This
NewsWarden is community-powered. We don't have a massive budget or a media conglomerate behind us. What we have is you. Every time you vote on an article, you're telling us, and everyone else, that this story matters. That it deserves attention. That it should be read, shared, and talked about.
So please: read, vote, share. Come back tomorrow. Bring a friend. The more the community grows, the better the news gets.
NewsWarden is built by the same team behind Bible Warden, a Bible app designed to help you engage with Scripture daily. If you want to support the work we're doing across both projects, you can back us on Patreon. Every bit of support helps us keep building.
