Antiviral Chewing Gum Reduces Microbes Linked to Oral Cancer Worsening, Penn Study Shows
Penn Dental Medicine researchers show that antiviral and antibacterial bioengineered chewing gums reduce levels of three microbes tied to worse outcomes in oral cancers. The approach could pave the way for cheaper, more effective adjuvant therapies. Clinical trials are being planned.
