Big Tech's Carbon Emissions Hit a Third of France's as Data Centers Boom

Combined carbon emissions from Microsoft, Amazon and Google rose nearly a fifth over the past year, driven largely by a data-center construction boom, reaching about a third of the annual emissions of France. The three companies insist they still aim to reach net-zero output.
