Chemists Harness Light to Build 3D Molecular Structures for Drug Discovery

Chemists at the University of Hong Kong developed a light-driven method for constructing three-dimensional molecular building blocks. Such scaffolds are prized in drug discovery because they explore chemical space that flat molecules cannot. The team says the approach works under mild conditions.
