The FDA Clears a Blood Test to Aid Alzheimer's Evaluation

The Food and Drug Administration has cleared a blood test to help clinicians evaluate patients for Alzheimer's disease. Blood-based markers offer a far less invasive alternative to spinal taps and PET imaging, which have long been the standard tools for assessing the disease.
