Firefighters in France are contending with pyrocumulonimbus clouds — immense fire-generated storm systems that produce their own wind and lightning, which then ignite new blazes. Meteorologists say it is the first such cloud recorded in the country, and Spain is seeing similar rare fire thunderstorms.
