Gabapentinoids Combined With Benzodiazepines Double Drug Poisoning Risk, Study Finds

A study of 16,000 patients found that taking gabapentinoids alongside benzodiazepines is associated with a 100% increase in drug poisoning hospitalizations, significantly higher than the 30% increase seen with opioid co-prescription. Researchers urge prescribers to rethink co-prescribing practices.
