Hindu Leaders Press for Nepal to Be Declared a Hindu Nation

Christians in Nepal have voiced growing concern after a delegation of Hindu religious leaders asked the government to declare the country a Hindu nation. The appeal followed communal violence in the Sunsari district in late July that left at least three people dead. Nepal has been formally secular since 2008.
