Madonna wins seven VMAs as Taylor Swift takes video of the year

Madonna won seven awards, including artist of the year, at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, according to the official winners list. Taylor Swift won video of the year for “The Fate of Ophelia” and the inaugural Artist Director Honors. Sienna Spiro was named best new artist, and Nirvana received the Video Vanguard award.
