Milan consulate workers sign compensation deals over alleged abuses

Workers building the US consulate in Milan signed agreements for shares of a €31 million labor-abuse settlement with Caddell Construction, the Associated Press reports. The payouts cover alleged unpaid overtime, housing deductions and damages. Caddell says the settlement admits no liability; the investigation remains open, and payments are still to be completed.
