Apps Aimed at U.S. Troops Found to Contain Chinese and Russian Code
A security analysis found that more than one in eight apps marketed to U.S. service members contained code originating in China and Russia. The findings expose a supply-chain vulnerability that could give adversaries footholds on the devices of military personnel. Researchers warn that seemingly benign consumer apps aimed at troops can quietly route data or capabilities through hostile foreign systems.
