Nepali Churches Reach Cut-Off Valleys by Mountain Bike After the Himalayan Floods
Christian relief teams have begun riding mountain bikes into remote valleys of northern Nepal that were cut off when a torrent of water, mud, rock and ice swept through Himalayan river settlements on Aug. 26. Hundreds of people were killed and more than 1,400 remain missing across Nepal and the Tibet region of China. Road damage has left many communities reachable only on two wheels or on foot.
