One in Three Democrats Now Call Themselves Democratic Socialists — and Most Americans Won't Back One

A CNN/SSRS poll finds about a third of Democrats now identify as democratic socialists, evidence of how far the party's progressive wing has moved from the margins. A separate Washington Post/Ipsos survey found 55% of Americans would not consider voting for a democratic socialist presidential candidate.
