Hubble data point to possible second-generation planet

A Nature Astronomy study identified unusual niobium signatures around white dwarf HS 0209+0832, NASA reports. Researchers combined Hubble, FUSE and TESS data to propose a gas-giant planet formed from material shed by the dying star. The observations support a candidate explanation; the planet and its formation history remain unconfirmed.
