JWST Could Spot Volcanic 'Exo-Ios' Orbiting Super-Jupiters
Jupiter's moon Io is the most volcanically active body in the solar system, driven by tidal heating from its parent planet's gravity. Researchers argue the James Webb Space Telescope should be able to detect the same signature around super-Jupiters in other systems.
