New Orleans Neighbors Turn Former Store Into a Free Community Resource

A former Family Dollar in New Orleans’s Lower Ninth Ward now offers clothing, household goods, toys and books at no charge, NPR reports. The building also serves as a roller-skating space. The project gives new life to a vacant storefront through shared community use.
