Utah startup proposes hundreds of reactors for data center

Valar Atomics has applied to use more than 9,000 acres of federal land in Utah for a data-center complex powered by 456 small nuclear reactors, according to company documents reviewed by NPR. The Bureau of Land Management says it is reviewing the application; construction and reactor operation remain proposals, with public review still ahead.
