A Massachusetts judge rejected Lindsay Clancy’s request for an acquittal after her murder trial ended with a deadlocked jury, AP reports in The Guardian. Judge William Sullivan said the evidence was sufficient for a jury to decide the charges over her three children’s deaths. The defense argued she lacked criminal responsibility because of mental illness; the ruling is not a guilty verdict.
